Andrew is a Chartered UK and European Patent Attorney experienced in obtaining patent rights in a broad range of electrical, electronic and mechanical engineering technologies in key global jurisdictions.
Prior to joining Marks and Clerk, Andrew spent over seven years in a large in-house IP department where he held the position of Lead Patent Attorney working and advising on patent protection, strategy and third party rights. Prior to that, Andrew worked for a firm of patent attorneys in the UK acting for local and multi-national companies in various engineering sectors and jurisdictions.
Andrew has a degree in Electronic and Electrical Engineering and completed a PhD and post-doctoral studies in micro-fabrication and engineering. Before studying at University, Andrew completed an apprenticeship as an electrician working in various commercial and industrial settings.
