Claire’s walking challenge

25 October 2017

Congratulations to Claire Lomas, who has taken her total raised to more than £575,000 for the Nicholls Spinal Injury Foundation after walking the 10 mile route of the Great South Run.

Paralysed following a horse riding accident in 2007, Claire completed the route with the aid of a revolutionary Rewalk Suit – a robotic exoskeleton that enables her to walk. The gruelling challenge took 24 sleepless hours battling wind and rain, with Claire describing it as her “toughest challenge to date”. Completing the route means that Claire has beaten her previous longest distance walked in a day by nearly four miles!

Marks & Clerk were very proud to sponsor Claire on her latest challenge and to help raise awareness of spinal injuries.
