Examination of Trade Marks - All Change in the UK! Seminar Roadshow

Glasgow - 6 September 2007
London - 12 September 2007
Manchester - 13 September 2007
Warwick - 18 September 2007

The UK Intellectual Property Office (UK-IPO) is set to radically change the way it examines trade marks. From 1 October 2007 it will no longer be possible for an Examiner to object to the registration of trade marks on the basis of older UK or Community marks.

Marks & Clerk is running a series of evening seminars across the UK to assist trade mark owners in preparing for this change. Our seminars will outline the UK-IPO changes and the implications for trade mark owners as well as highlight what action you should take to protect your valuable trade mark rights and your business which those rights represent. Speakers will set out strategies to help you effectively minimise risk and safeguard your rights, including trade mark watching. They will also explain how to oppose conflicting marks and how to defend your own marks.

Marks & Clerk speakers will be joined by guest speakers from the UK-IPO and the trade mark watching service providers, TMDS.

If you are interested in attending one of our seminars, please email your details and preferred location to events@marks-clerk.com
